 TOUR ITINERARY DETAIL

 

Day 1: Hanoi Arrival

( Included services: Tour guide, private bus, hotel )

 

Welcome to Hanoi, the capital of Vietnam! You will be greeted by our tour guide and transfer directly to hotel in Hanoi.

Check in time will be available at 2:00pm, and in case that you would like to secure an early-check in, an additional charge will be applied.

Optional: The rest of this day is free at leisure. You might have a sleep to recover, or wander around for some own exploration, or consider taking part in one of our suggested activities below:

Water Puppet Show: A traditional Vietnamese water performing art, at which Vietnamese folk tales, history and local lives are introduced via colorful puppets.

Vietnamese Cooking Class or Foodie Tours: Food in Vietnam, especially Hanoi, is totally tasty and able to mesmerize any visitor. A short walk around Old Quarter for some of Hanoi’s best food, or participation in a fun Vietnam’s cooking class could be a good start to your journey in this lovely country.

Day 2: Hanoi City Tour

( Tour guide, private bus, hotel, breakfast, lunch, visiting tickets )

 

Breakfast at your hotel

Begin the first day of the trip with a tour of Hanoi. Visit the picturesque West Lake and its sixth century Tran Quoc Buddhist Pagoda. Tran Quoc Pagoda is regarded as the most ancient pagoda in Hanoi with its history line of more than 1,500 years. Then, a small walking of 300 m on the West Lake side to Quan Thanh Temple, dating from 11th century.

 

Depart to Vietnam’s first university: the Temple of Literature. Founded in 1076, Quoc Tu Giam was established within a temple to educate Vietnam's royalty, mandarins and members of the elite. This temple is also known as the first Conficius Temple in Vietnam.

 

Lunch time in restaurant.

 

Continue to visit Ho Chi Minh President complex. Visit outside of his mausoleum, his house on stilt, the President Palace and the iconic One Pillar Pagoda, one of Vietnam’s most iconic temples.

Back to old quarters for a rickshaw tour. Best way to see all activities and daily life of old quarters.

Back to hotel and dinner by your own.

 

 

Day 3: Hanoi – Halong Bay - Overnight on Cruise

( Shuttle bus, guide on board, cruise, visiting ticket, B, L, D )

 

After breakfast at hotel, driver picks up and transfer to Halong Bay, listed as a World Heritage of outstanding natural beauty, known in Vietnamese as “Dragon descending to the sea”.

 

Upon arrival, the boat crew welcome you and check in then enjoy a cruise around Halong Bay with a delicious local seafood lunch served on board. You can also behold thousands of limestone islands and grottoes rising from the clear, emerald water.

 

Following break, depending on each cruise’s itinerary of the day, you’ll join some activities on boat to discover the beauty of the bay such as visit a cave, doing kayaking or enjoy swimming in the sea before getting back to the junk for relaxing and dinner. Overnight on board.

 

Day 4: Halong Bay – Hanoi – Flight to Da Nang – Hoi An

You might start your 2nd day in Halong with an early tai-chi class, or simply wake up and witness the amazing sunrise on the bay. After breakfast, cruise take you to explore the most stunning caves in Halong.

 

The early lunch will be served on the way getting back to the main dock for transferring to Hanoi. Then, transfer to Noi Bai airport for flight to Da Nang City.

 

Upon arrival, our driver is currently waiting and will transfer you to the hotel in Hoi An.

Check-in to the hotel and free at leisure to relax.

 

Day 5: Half day Hoi An Ancient Town

Hoi An is an old port town, which was founded with mixture of different cultures from Vietnam to Japan, China and Europe.

 

Fortunately, most of ancient constructions in this town have been conserved at unspoiled condition (although some of buildings are now using for commercial purposes), so travelers will have a complete understanding of history and diversity in culture of this historic place.

 

Our half-day excursion is simply walking. We will wander along old streets, cross several old houses; see how daily lives of local people are, and witness how historical elements of the town merging with modernity. We will also visit some of the ancient monuments from other nations, like the Japanese Covered Bridge or Fujian Assembly Hall of Chinese. And after some walking, a cold glass of traditional herbal drink from a street-side shop is the best way to refresh, and enjoy the true taste of Hoi An on your tongue.

 

If we have enough time, we will also pass by a handicraft store, at which you could directly see the creation of most notable souvenirs in town, and take some of them back to your hometown.

Day 6: Hoi An – Da Nang – Cloud Pass – Hue Ancient Capital

After breakfast at hotel.

Pick up by your guide and moving to Hue.

Visit Marble Mountain in Da Nang with its amazing temple on rocky mountain and inside the caves. Time to discover marble sculpture.

Continue to drive up to Cloud Pass, a must-see landscape of Vietnam.

Arrive in Hue, former capital of Vietnam from 1802 to 1945. A charming city which has a great cultural richness with its history, its historical monuments, its imperial city, its mausoleums, its Perfum river ...., which seduced the soul generations of Vietnamese poets as well as visitors. Despite damage due to the two wars, the renovation projects are gradually giving it back its original charm.

 

Time for lunch in restaurant.

In the afternoon, the visit continues with the most important monument in Hue, the Imperial City. Built for 29 years from 1804 to 1833, the imperial city was the political, economic, cultural center of the country and the home of 13 Nguyen emperors and their families. The construction of the imperial city was a typical example of oriental architecture by harmoniously applying Confucianist philosophies, fengshui and also the use of local and exotic materials.

Day 7: Hue City Tour

The morning begins with a visit to the Thanh Toan Bridge, a cute little Japanese-style bridge, located in a small village not far from the city center. Visit of the very authentic daily market where the villagers come to shop every day. A market that stands out from the rest.

Continuation of the visit to the 2 mausoleums of Khai Dinh and Minh Mang. While the Mausoleum of Minh Mang is a typical construction of the city, strictly respecting local criteria, oriental philosophies, fengshui ... the mausoleum of Khai Dinh is an exception. Its architecture is really an original invention of this emperor and under the hands of the artists of the time, a splendid building, mixed with several styles: Catholic, Buddhist, French, Vietnamese, Chinese, as well as a most beautiful mosaic work. from Vietnam, were made.

 

Lunch time in restaurant.

 

Then you will take a small tour on dragon boat and navigate on Perfum River until Thien Mu Pagoda, the most important pagoda in Hue. Built in 1601, the Thien Mu  Pagoda is not only a Buddhist temple but also an important ceremonial place for members of the royal family. A little discovery on local religious life.

 

Finally, The day's visit ends with Dong Ba Market, the largest indoor market in the city. Here you find everything the locals need. A beautiful market to see.

 

Back to your hotel for relax.

 

Day 8: Hue - Flight to Ho Chi Minh city

Breakfast at the hotel.

At 8:00 am, departure with the driver for the 11:00 am flight to Saigon.

Arrival in Saigon. Welcome by the guide and the driver. Transfer to the city center.
Saigon, today called Ho Chi Minh city, is the first city of Vietnam in several aspects: economic, area, population ...


Continue your day with a visit to the Independence Palace which served as the Presidential Palace of South Vietnam before 1975.

Visit of the central post office and Saigon Cathedral.

 

Lunch time in restaurant.

Visit War Remnants Museum, a short time to know about the dire consequences  during the war.

 

Back to hotel and free time for you to see the city by yourself.

 

Day 9: Full day Cu Chi Tunnels - Ho Chi Minh City

Meet our tour guide at the hotel’s lobby, and let’s start our journey to Cu Chi Tunnels, which is about 70km far from Ho Chi Minh City. The attraction is a collection of underground tunnel and construction, from hospital, bedrooms to ammunition storage using by North Vietnam’s army during Civil War (1955 – 1975) as a military camp. You are provided opportunities to crawl along some of the tunnels for exploration more about the Vietnam War, or touch a real-gun with the firing-gun services here (with an additional charge).

 

Lunch is served at a local restaurant.

 

Visit Caodaism Temple, a local religion, rêcntly created from debut of 20th century.

 

Back to on the way we return to Ho Chi Minh City.

 

Free time in the rest of day

 

Day 10: Free at leisure in Ho Chi Minh

( B, L, D, Guide, Private Bus, Hotel, Visits )

 

Breakfast at hotel.

Depart to Mekong Delta: Immerse yourself in the tranquil atmosphere and enjoy lush fruit in the heart of the Mekong. Experience the locals' life by visiting their traditional handicraft workshops and orchards.

After 2 hours on bus, you wil arrive in My Tho and start the tour by a small boat trip to an island on the Mekong river where you will discover many handicraft activities: candies, coconut products, rice paper…

 

Time to cycle around the island and a short tour on traditional rowing boat to enjoy the landscape and atmosphere of Mekong.

Time for lunch.

Back to Ho Chi Minh City.

 

Visit the old Chinese Town in Saigon and its market – Binh Tay market.

 

For tonight, a wonderful dinner will be applied on a Cruise on Saigon River: Spending romantic evening with a special dinner on boat while the cruise setting sail on the Saigon River. Fell free to contact our consultant for these services, or any other activities that you would like to try.

 

Day 11: Departure

( B, Transfer to airport )

 

Enjoy your lazy last morning in Ho Chi Minh City, and have breakfast at hotel's restaurant. You are free until our transfer comes, and you are transported to airport for your flight back home. We say goodbye after arriving at the airport, and we hope to see you on your other vacation in Vietnam.

 

Note: Hotel check-out time is 12:00 noon. However subjected to room's availability, late check-out can be settled with a surcharge.
